Since 1971 the project management agency KIT-PTKA is a service provider, partner, and codesigner of various customers of public organisations with a view to promote scientific research, technical development, and dissemination of research results in the field of production, environment and energy research. More than 120 employees at two locations at the main office in Karlsruhe and the branch office in Dresden use the excellent infrastructure of and vicinity to research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In 2012 KIT-PTKA has granted about 140 million Euro and cooperates with other project management agencies in a network.
KIT-PTKA is mainly an agency of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). With the funding programme “Innovation for Tomorrow`s Production, Services and Work” it supports industry in innovating new manufacturing and production technologies in a holistic way, including new approaches for tomorrow’s services and work.
