Finpiemonte is the in-house financial company of Regione Piemonte and acts as its Development Agency.
Founded in 1977, it has been working for forty years to support Piedmont’s local development and competitiveness. In thirty years of operation, Finpiemonte has provided regional and EU funds to more than 80.000 beneficiaries, taking care of the procedures for the assessment, assignment and verification of financial support schemes that derive from local, regional, national and EU initiatives.
Finpiemonte supports the Regional offices at the design and management of regional policies and programmes on research, innovation and competitiveness: it has taken part in the most important economic development programs and has offered its technical know-how and qualified services to assist its shareholders in elaborating their development policies.
Under the mandate of Regione Piemonte, Finpiemonte acts as promoter and developer of the regional network of innovation Clusters, which principally involve SMEs.
Finpiemonte also assists Regione Piemonte in the set-up and implementation of transnational and EU projects.
Particularly, with the aim to stimulate the participation of local economic actors to international, trans-regional and inter-cluster research and innovation projects, Finpiemonte is taking part to several ERA-NETs, thus showing a sound experiences in this type of actions.
