The Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) is a non-commercial state body set up by Russian government in 1994. FASIE was the first public institution to provide support to small innovative enterprises.

FASIE’s main tasks include the implementation of government policy for the development and support of small innovative enterprises; offering direct financial, informational and other aid to small innovative enterprises, implementation of projects to develop and produce new high-tech products; and creating and developing an infrastructure for SME.

The key objectives of FASIE are to unlock the outstanding intellectual potential, to support young scientists and to create the right conditions for implementing the results of scientific activity. The Foundation provides financial support, pre-seed and seed, to young scientists and small businesses that are engaged in scientific development that offers a high potential for commercialization.

The results of FASIE’s activities include the constant development of small innovative enterprises, the generation of new intellectual property, and the growth of the number of jobs in the high-tech manufacturing sector.

FASIE has representation offices in 68 regions of Russia. Since 1994, FASIE has accumulated a wealth of experience through its support for up to 15,000 projects in Russia from 75 Russian regions, chosen from among 55 thousands of applications for projects.
