IDEPA - Instituto de Desarrollo Económico del Principado de Asturias

IDEPA-Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias is the Public Body, dependent on the Asturian Regional Administration, targeted to promote the modernization and diversification of the business environment in Asturias.

IDEPA has established its quality policy based on the VISION on how IDEPA sees itself in the future, the MISSION the organization has established under its governing law and the VALUES it is based upon.

Aims and Activities

All IDEPA’s measures are oriented towards the businessperson and the entrepreneur, especially those seeking to innovate. For them IDEPA carry out different programs aimed at:

• Encouraging productive investment and the creation of new industrial companies and services associated with industry.
• Improving the competitiveness of companies through innovation.
• Increasing the presence of Asturian companies in external markets.
• Boosting cooperation as an instrument of competitiveness.

Programmes and actions

• Financing. IDEPA offers different types of financial support aimed at encouraging the implantation in the Principality of Asturias of new projects or improving the competitiveness of already existing companies.
• Industrial Infrastructures. IDEPA is committed to the creation and improvement of industrial infrastructures in the Principality of Asturias as a strategic element in economic development.
• Capturing Investments. IDEPA facilitates the implantation of new business projects that will modernize and diversify the region’s business environment.
• Entrepreneurs. IDEPA contributes through the Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación (European Business & Innovation Centre) to the dissemination of a business culture and facilitates the creation of new innovative companies in the Principality of Asturias.
• Innovation. IDEPA promotes research, development and innovation as a basis for new productive activities and processes with high added value.
• Internationalization. IDEPA contributes to increasing the presence of Asturian companies in markets throughout the world.
• Business Information. IDEPA provides an information service that enables companies to be better acquainted with the environment around them, thus improving their competitiveness and facilitating strategic decision-making.
• Cooperation. IDEPA encourages cooperation between companies and/or institutions with the aim of furthering business opportunities and increasing competitiveness.
